As owner-manager, he has supervised the development or redevelopment of over 2 million square feet of retail and mixed use space in Canada and the United States. Klaus is a licensed real estate agent in British Columbia, is a graduate of the Technical College in Wiener Neustadt and holds a degree in Marketing and Advertising from the University of World Trade in Vienna, Austria. |

It is with great sadness we share the news of the sudden passing of our friend and partner Igors Silgailis on May 30th. Our thoughts are with Igors’ wife Janine and their two sons, Stacey and Kyle, his brother Ingus and their family.
Igors has been part of Northwest Properties since 1984, and has been instrumental in the development and redevelopment of the company’s projects. His passing leaves us in shock, and he will be greatly missed by the Northwest family.

He is responsible for leasing the company's development projects throughout British Columbia and Alberta, and has experience in leasing both enclosed and open retail centres from 40,000 to 380,000 square feet. |

He has over 11 years of commercial real estate industry experience and before joining the company in 1997 he worked as financial analyst at Bentall Properties and previously at Deloitte & Touche. |

Shirley has held her Certified Shopping Centre Manager designation from the International Council of Shopping Centres since 1991. |
